Job Description

To maximize economic recovery of CCED fields in Oman that is carried out in an environmentally friendly, safely and in an orderly manner. • To develop and apply reservoir optimization techniques for enhancing cost-effective oil recovery from the fields. • To develop cost-effective reservoir monitoring and surveillance program for effective reservoir management and remedial measures such as work overs, well intervention, etc. • To provide analysis of well surveillance data but not limited to SGS, MDT, PLT, RST, PBU and Pressure fall-off, etc. as and when required. • To analyze pressure transient test data for oil reservoirs for any configuration and any type. • To prioritize, track and quality check wells’ production tests. • To capture established reservoir performance characteristics in simple, analytically based reservoir models (i.e. material balance - MBAL) using existing well surveillance data to supplement the in dictations from production trending analysis. • To design cost-effective PVT and SCAL programs and laboratory studies for reservoir characterization study for oil fields with support from Senior RE. • To liaise with geoscientists, study team and operation team to interpret reservoir management results and predict production potential. • To plan and lead integrated well and reservoir reviews per field ensuring ranking and attending identified opportunities.

Skills Required

• Bachelor degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent • 3-5 years’ experience in reservoir engineering with an oil and gas operator. • Highly skilled reservoir Engineer with experience in Clastic and fractured Carbonate reservoirs. • Have worked in a position with well and reservoir management team. • High level of computer literacy. • Excellent communication skills and ability to contribute as a team player. • Fluency in written and spoken use of the English language is required
