About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.

Purpose of the Job

To provide administrative and technical support to Change & Continuous Improvement Manager (CCI) and his team Stakeholder management across directorates and assets. The role involves performing and not limited to the following tasks:

  • Supporting with emails, letters, organization of calendars and meeting schedules.
  • Following up with stakeholder, creating reports analysing data for insight. 
  • Handling invoices, PO’s, service entries and SAP related transactions. 
     

Education & Experience

  • Diploma/ Advanced Diploma IT, Business or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as technical assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work with diverse team.
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and possess personal agility to adapt and adjust. 
  • Strong value-focus 

Main Responsibilities

Management of Continuous Improvement Trainings

  • Gather the requirement from Value Streams and map out the yearly capability built for PDO staff. 
  • Management of the trainings logistics: venue, facilitators, gemba walk, and transportation to ensure smooth training delivery. 
  • Create batches and assign facilitators in CI Portal for the staff to register. 
  • Publish training calendar 
  • Publish the training facilitator schedule for the year
  • Ensure training pre work completed for participants 
  • Perform weekly Visual management huddles that highlights relevant trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain staff training records
  • Track training progress and demands 
  • Coordinate and manage the training materials and supplies.
  • Staff accreditation for trainings

Management of CI staff onboarding 

  • Onboarding of CI coaches, CI Lead and Sr. coaches.
  • Arrange IT requirements such as:-(staff number, laptop, access to folders, systems), desk allocation, distribution group, gate pass, HSE training, PPE
  • Assignment preview trip: Arrange for Hotel, transport (Office, clinic , hospital, super market, PDO school), meetings, access, visa
