Job purpose

Provides technical expertise pertaining to maintenance instrument Equipment under TL Maintenance Salalah Services’ scope; through the supervision of equipment inspections, preventive and performing maintenance and repairs for instrument parts / equipment at designed plants / facilities in coordination with owner assets; in order to ensure optimum plant availability, maximizing plant operational efficiency, reliability and safety and minimizing Opex.

The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justification’s, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Follow existing procedures   for   undertaking   preparatory checks and trouble-shooting in order to maintain the equipment’s availability.
  • Report any field deficiencies through proper communication channels.
  • Handles independently with minimal supervision all type of equipment assigned to his discipline.
  • Guides, trains and coaches junior staff members
  • Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures   to   ensure   a    healthy   and   safe   work environment.
  • Perform housekeeping activities within the area of responsibility to ensure cleanliness and orderliness

Internal: All Maintenance Managers & Engineers, Planners, Operations, Procurement, Logistic & HSE

External: Contractors, Vendors & Suppliers

Notable Working Conditions. Field Operations and office environment, Moderate to intensive computer screen use. Shift

Education requirements

Minimum Qualifications for this position is Diploma in Technology or similar (instrument)

Language requirements 

Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) Arabic - Native (desirable)

Knowledge of refinery and petrochemical plant operations.

  • Experience in instrument maintenance, Workshop activities
  • Experience in Foundation Fieldbus Instrument Maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Gas Turbine Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
