Job purpose

Provides technical expertise pertaining to maintenance Static Equipment in SLL under TL Maintenance Mechanical Support (workshop & non plant) services’ scope; ; through the supervision of equipment inspections, preventive and performing maintenance and repairs for static equipment at designed plants / facilities in coordination with owner assets; in order to ensure optimum plant availability, maximizing plant operational efficiency, reliability and safety and minimizing Opex.

This role is guided in accordance with the OQ Group’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategies, as well as policies, guidelines, and both local & international standards. It is supported by an IT Technology platform, HSSE standards, Omani government regulations, legal justifications, and best international practices. All these elements are aligned with the national objectives of Oman.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Follow existing procedures   for   undertaking   preparatory checks and troubleshooting in order to maintain the equipment’s availability.
  • Report any field deficiencies through proper communication channels.
  • Handles independently with minimal supervision all type of equipment assigned to his discipline.
  • Guides, trains and coaches junior staff members
  • Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures   to   ensure   a    healthy   and   safe   work environment.
  • Perform housekeeping activities within the area of responsibility to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Coordinate and perform maintenance repair on all equipment and auxiliary systems in accordance with maintenance best practice & as per OEM.
  • Guides the technicians for safe and effective operation of the heavy equipment and lifting equipment.

Education requirements

Minimum Qualifications for this position are Diploma in Technology or similar

Language requirements 

Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)  Arabic - Native (desirable)
