الوصف الوظيفي

The Senior / Well Integrity Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Oman Government regulations and Oxy PSPG’s with respect to Well Integrity throughout the life cycle of all wells operated by Occidental of Oman.

Senior / Engineer will ensure responsible Department’s adherence to the Oxy Oman Well Integrity Management System (WIMS), manage the well integrity testing schedule through the Well Integrity Software (WIS) system and QA/QC test and well handover data.

 Senior / Engineer will provide technical support to relevant Departments on well integrity issues and well abandonment programs, providing feedback on enhancements to well design and remedial procedures. Will also conduct investigations/evaluations, periodic reviews of well status and feedback KPI’s to relevant Departments to ensure Oxy is pursuing the optimal well life in all fields.

The Senior / Well Integrity Engineer responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Ensure compliance with Oxy Oman Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) and Governmental Regulations.
  • Assist in review and updating of WIMS, Testing Guidelines and Well Integrity Software (WIS)
  • Assist in in developing well integrity related PSPG’s to support the responsible and accountable Departments.
  • Manage well barrier schematics and well operating limit diagrams for individual wells and well types, ensuring up-to-date and available for all wells in WIS.
  • Verification and periodic review of MAASP for all wells and well types.
  • Manage well integrity testing schedule through Well Integrity Software (WIS) system, ensuring appropriate remediation actions and timelines are applied.
  • Participate in Leak and SCP investigation and evaluation.
  • Participate in Well maintenance - preventative and remedial.
  • Support Engineering investigations, evaluations, and compilation of technical reports.
  • Liaise with maintenance teams on systematic wellhead and Xmas tree equipment issues, analyze trends and provide feedback to relevant parties.
  • QA/QC of well integrity test data, well handover documentation and any other relevant well integrity data
  • Facilitate risk assessments and manage/update risk registers for individual wells and well types.
  • Review and verify management of change (MOC) documents related to well integrity.
  • Coordinate / facilitate technical reviews, evaluations, and investigations of well integrity failures/issues and feedback on results/trends; update relevant PSPG’s as required.
  • Provide technical support on well integrity issues and well abandonment programs to the relevant Departments.
  • Conduct studies to provide recommendations well designs and remedial procedures to improve life of well performance.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of well status and feedback KPI’s to relevant Departments and Management.
  • Assist in in developing and conducting well integrity training and act as mentor for Interns.
  • Review latest advancements in technology and best practices in Well Integrity Management and prepare trial proposals.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Drilling, Well Services or Asset/Well Integrity activities.
  • Worked as a focal point of Asset /Well Integrity is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of well construction, completion design, MAASP Calculation and an understanding of well operating limits and well barrier design and verification.
  • Good knowledge of well intervention operations.
  • Demonstrated HES knowledge and skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Computer literate, including experience with electronic data management systems such as Open wells, LOWIS/WIMS or similar tools.
