ROLE PURPOSE:
Leads, and coordinates, the provision of maintenance services for instrument across Orpic sites and all related operations (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC) under Team Leader Instrument (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, I-PIC); through the supervision the team of technicians and senior technicians for performing maintenance jobs on general instrumentation ( pressure, level, flow, temperature, pH, vibration instruments) in designed plants / facilities in coordination with owner assets (operation MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, I-PIC); facilitate daily planning of the pre-assigned activities; in order to ensure optimum plant availability, maximizing plant operational efficiency, reliability and safety and minimizing Opex.
Supervisor instrument (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC) Generic position will act in accordance with Orpic values & strategies, policies, guidelines, technology platform, HSE standards, Omani's government & other legal justification's, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives and Ethics standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & DELIVERABLES:
Receives work orders related to general instrumentation and allocates work to individual craftsmen or technicians.
Performs a quality monitoring role, ensuring that work competed by section is adequately performed.
Ensures application of work permit in the assigned areas. Ensure Work-orders and permits are tracked and jobs closed as per set procedure.
Monitors instruments spare parts current stock levels in the store and prepares lists of stock items required. Updates the PC-based instrumentation database, ensuring the system maintains all current information on instruments.
Prompt support on technical solutions by diagnosing the problem and supporting field team.
Troubleshoots complex operational situations, providing high-level knowledge on instrument maintenance to technicians.
Initiates pro-active preventive maintenance tasks for maximizing instrumentation control loops performance and reducing corrective maintenance time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUAL'S:
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications for this position is a Diploma in Electronics / Instrumentation engineering or similar.
Minimum years of relevant experience is 10 years' experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of refinery and petrochemical plants operation.
Experience in oil & gas instrumentation repair and calibration techniques.

COMPETENCIES:
Basic refinery and petrochemical plants operations.
Process automation protocols, such as (HART, Profibus, SDS). Project handover applications, such as SmartPlant Instruments Various types and makes of control valves and flow meters.
Special tools and test equipment for instrument calibration. Safety standards
Full aware of P&lD, ILD, Instrument and Pneumatic Hook up drawings, Instrument data sheets and alarms set points, vendor documents.
Full aware of Beamex calibration system.
Good understanding of SAP system and manpower utilization.
