Main tasks and responsibilities - Review current business portfolio and applies strategic – High Business intelligence concepts to identify areas of priorities and actions on how to develop new M&A for the Growth.
- Analyze, monitor, advise and report on regional and international M&A opportunities related to energy sector.
- Lead and conduct detailed evaluation of investment opportunities including technical, commercial, financial due diligence, risk assessment, and legal alignment for further negotiations & investment agreements related with the conclusion of those potential M&A.
- Identify and develop merge and acquisition strategies for potential investments in OQ using personal industry knowledge and other sources of market intelligence.
- Conduct strategic market studies to formulate and recommend business development (greenfield and brownfield) and investments (or divestment) strategies and plans, and identify potential cross-asset synergies in line with the Group’s strategy
- Aligning existing and new business developments or M&A with OQ Corporate and Governments vision / mission, while leading the optimization and structurally strategizing the whole process.
- Generate a significant impact in downstream, upstream and AE portfolio by either increasing business development contribution to the support of OQ Group growth and optimization of growth portfolios.
- Coach new local staff to close gaps by enhancing value in business development processes, problem solving, and decision-making in business Intelligence.
Strategy Development: - Collaborate with the executive team to set M&A strategy and identify target companies. - Evaluate industry trends and market dynamics to identify potential acquisition opportunities. Deal Sourcing and Origination: - Develop and maintain relationships with potential target companies, investment banks, legal advisors, and other stakeholders. - Conduct market research to identify and assess potential M&A opportunities. Due Diligence: - Lead the due diligence process by coordinating with cross-functional teams to assess financials, legal, operations, and strategic fit. - Evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with each transaction. Financial Analysis and Valuation - Perform detailed financial modeling and valuation analyses to assess the financial impact of potential transactions. - Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for senior leadership and board review. Negotiation and Execution: - lead negotiating deal terms, including price, structure, and conditions, in collaboration with legal and finance teams. - Manage transaction execution and integration processes, ensuring alignment with corporate goals. Corporate Governance, Organization & Coaching - Supports VP Business Development to identifying and closing the business / organization action items across the Business Development departments. Providing / facilitating support in delivering responsibilities
- Guide the team where needs to develop M&A or new opportunities and conduct the whole process after BoD approval of those initiatives
