The Learning and Development Supervisor will primarily be responsible for managing the training program, which includes delivering, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on the training plan for Mukhaizna/Oman North Field. This involves both trainees and employees, such as technicians and operators. Additionally, the supervisor will track and address individual development plans for all employees by managing their career development plans.
The Learning and Development Supervisor’s responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Assist in the development and implementation of Learning and Development strategies.
Design, develop, and implement training programs that address the needs of the organization and its employees. This includes technical training, safety training, and leadership development programs.
Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps in skills and knowledge. Collaborate with department heads and managers to determine training priorities.
Create and update training materials, manuals, and other educational resources. Ensure that all training content is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards.
Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars. Utilize various training methods, including classroom instruction, e-learning, and on-the-job training.
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics. Make necessary adjustments to improve training outcomes.
Ensure that all training programs comply with industry regulations and safety standards. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.
Supervise and mentor a team of trainers and instructional designers. Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of training programs.
Manage the training budget, including forecasting costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective training solutions.
Prepare and present reports on training activities, outcomes, and future plans to different stakeholders.
Create and execute communication plans with key stakeholders that include, but is not limited to: Vendors, Field Management, and Employees.
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Learning and Development field OR a College Diploma with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the Learning and Development field.
Preferably, at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Experience in developing and implementing training and development programs within the oil and gas industry is preferred.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in training software and learning management systems (LMS). Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
A thorough understanding of the oil and gas industry, including its regulations, safety standards, and best practices in training and development, is preferred.
