About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.

Purpose of the Job

Apply Process Control Domain (PCD) cybersecurity assurance plan in PDO assets, operationalize and implement cybersecurity controls for Automation systems including RTO in accordance with relevant standards.

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering [Electronics/ Telecom], computer science or Control & Automation or equivalent.
•    A minimum of 7 years Oil & Gas industry experience relevant to Process Automation Systems industry work experience covering the main aspects of the Control & Automation discipline.
•    Shall have at least 3-5 years’ experience mix of in-depth technical support and combined and working knowledge of Process Control Domain (PCD) IT security service management/delivery capacity (e.g., assessment, audit, compliance, vulnerability testing and security implementation in the Oil and Gas or similar Industry.
•    Experience in reviewing and developing engineering standards documents (Policy, Code of Practice, Procedures, Guidelines and Specifications) related to security.
 

Main Responsibilities

•    Responsible for planning, deploying, classifying, operating, administering, managing maintaining (including asset register records), execute remediation of non-compliance Process Control Domain (PCD) Cyber Security compliance & assurance findings and upgrading and disposing of in scope PCD assets.
•    Responsible for daily security operations at site/Facilities ensuring secure management and use of the Process Control Domain (PCD) systems and applications in accordance with specifications and procedures that are part of Process Control Domain (PCD) Cyber Security Management System (CSMS).
•    Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing physical security activities.
•    Responsible for coordinating planning and implementation for overall recovery of Process Control Domain (PCD) assets as per the defined BCM program.
•    Responsible for deploying, administering, and managing PCD assets in accordance with specifications and procedures that are part of Process Control Domain (PCD) Cyber Security Management System (CSMS).
•    Responsible to provide cross-functional visibility to all changes, to assist the change management team in the assessment and prioritization of change control, and to ultimately approve or deny changes.
•    Implement and support the compliance to Organization control requirements as per the best practices and industry standards.
•    Assess and report regularly on the performance and overall effectiveness of implemented Process Control Domain (PCD) security management systems within Operation
•    Monitor and ensuring Process Control Domain (PCD) infrastructure services and related components are operated with tight compliance with the internal security compliance policies, standards and guidelines and other regulatory requirements
•    Support Annual Business Impact Assessment (BIA) and Threat Vulnerabilities Assessment (TVA) for PCD systems within PDO assets.
•    Support and plan PCD security internal audits and owns the facilitation of external audit. 
•    Give input to continual improvement of implemented security standards, controls, and services.
•    Develops knowledge and skills in PCD cybersecurity within assets and assure competency development is managed for all operation outfits
