About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.

Purpose of the Job

To maximise production optimisation (constraint & deferment reduction) from all assets in PDO, to and improve the PSO process. To facilitate PSO events in PDO and to assist teams in developing surface and subsurface opportunities.

Education & Experience

• BSc in engineering discipline with at least 7 years production operations /programming or Process engineering with experience in a variety of assets
• Previous experience in Production system optimisation and trouble shooting is required
• Good facilitation skills and experience of numerous business improvement is also required preferred

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate all PSO events in PDO for North, South and Gas
• Support other reviews /VARs as required
• Monitor preparation for PSO events
• Monitor and improve utilization of SOPs (standard operating procedures)
• Use skills in trouble shooting, optimization, brainstorming to identify opportunities for further development
• Report Corporate PSO event progress and KPIs to management
• Review opportunity registers for progress and implementation
• Act as custodian to the standard corporate integrated opportunity register

• To manage roll out and drive PSO process in PDO.
• To develop a good understanding of all assets in PDO to drive suitable opportunities using own experience to also make proposals and guide staff in developing their ideas
• Encourage WRM TL / Programming TL /Process engineering TL and Operations TL to drive the process and ensure attendance at events.

• Train Omani staff in facilitation skills

• Coach staff on PSO skills to new teams
