The Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator will be responsible for support, administration and coordination of the Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSOW) at Oxy Mukhaizna field operations. The Coordinator is also responsible for training personnel on the software system, risk assessment, auditing and isolations. The PTW Coordinator role will play a vital part in the safe and effective Operation and Maintenance of the facilities for all phases of site activities including construction, commissioning, start-up and steady state operations. The PTW Coordinator will actively engage HSE, Well Services, Facilities and Operations teams, in the on-site monitoring and auditing of the PTW system and ensure that all relevant company policies are consistently adhered to and applied in full. He will be expected to be involved in auditing on an ongoing basis.
The Permit to Work Coordinator responsibilities include but not limited to:
Assisting the Area Authority, Issuing Authority and Performing Authority (AA, IA & PA) in the execution of their PTW duties when requested (This shall NOT include signing or issuing Permits/Certificates).
Carry out daily audits of the PTW system and provide a quality check on compliance with company policy.
Recording any lessons learned during the operation of the PTW System in the Lessons Learned Register and provide feedback to relevant departmental Team Leads.
Ensuring that PTW updates/changes are effectively communicated to all personnel.
Coaching, mentoring and training of company and contractor staff.
Ensuring that new staff are registered in the PTW register at the appropriate level.
Attend and lead applicable PTW meetings.
Facilitate and participate in higher level PTW audits.
Supply accurate data and reports regarding PTW status to HSE, Field Operations Manager and management teams.
Reporting significant or repetitive PTW issues and areas of non-compliance to the HES Team Leader and Field Operations Manager.
Provide feedback and recommendations to management teams as part of the continual improvement process.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a multi-discipline operations and construction environment, preferably in the Oil & Gas or Process industry, OR a College Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a multi-discipline operations and construction environment, preferably in the Oil & Gas or Process industry.
Preferably 2 years’ experience in operations, managing, and auditing permit to work systems and procedure.
Excellent communication skills in English. Training will cover trainees from multiple nationalities.
Strong HSE mindset with ability to understand and recite relevant company policy in detail
A highly motivated self-starter.
Must be capable of working unsupervised and performing at a high level in a safety critical role.
Ability to recognize problems in advance and develop solutions with appropriate action steps within structured and/or defined judgment parameters, in conjunction and agreement with Field Management.
Strong team player with good interpersonal and supervisory skills. Suitable candidates must be comfortable with taking a lead role in resolving conflicts and providing training and guidance.
Ability to effectively interact with management, operations and construction contractors, vendors and any other company departments to facilitate flow of information and resolution of contradicting work-fronts.
Good PC Skills
Previous experience with Sphera ISSOW would be a big advantage but not essential.
