Job purpose

 

Lead and manage the team and activities for Integrated Digital Solutions (IDS) into a Digital Business Services, under Chief PTC scope, acting as owner of all Information & Digital Solutions strategy and solutions for OQEP and single point of accountability for the Corporate & main digital business services, and Operational Model including ERP, Cyber security, Digital transformation and Strategic IT sourcing, through:  (1)  Oversees the IDS Strategy & Governance, IT Operation & BIA, Cybersecurity, Transformation and the IDS Business Excellence, and (2) Oversees the development and scaling Omni-channel technologies across OQEP (with focus on integrating digital technology into Digital Business Services Centre and oversees the Digital Delivery to influence the organization on IT Digital development of the information architecture and framework; in order to create and maintain an integrated and cohesive digital strategies and capabilities within the organization while supporting PT&C to ensure the continuity and efficiency of the business.

  • Leads the IDS’s agenda while providing advice and guidance to OQEP functions on IDS strategic priorities, plans, services and improvements regarding IDS Strategy & Governance, IT Operation & BIA, Cybersecurity, Transformation, and the IDS Business Excellence; in order to support the efficiency and continuity of PT&C function.

 

  • Acts as integrator, coach, and auditor of IDS’s effectiveness Digital Business Services Centre while ensures the assigned staff to support the different Business Units/ Assets achieve has the proper connection with IDS methods, practices among the main Units/ Assets.

 

The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

Integrated Digital Solution (IDS) Strategy Formulation, Direction & Innovation

  • Lead the definition of IDS OQEP corporate strategy and polices.
  • Builds strategic directions on IDS processes.
  • Drives strategic interlinkages in a Business – PTC formula, with focus in both, corporate business results and IDS improvements (strategic, functional, and operational level)
  • Executes IDS OQEP Plan, define agenda, controls and KPI’s regarding:
    • IDS Strategy & Governance
    • IT Operation
    • Cybersecurity
    • Digital Transformation
  • Executes IT Operations.
  • Define and build IDS metrics and define capabilities.
  • Technology proponent: Auditor / Evaluator / Feed-back / Controller of IDS processes
  • Ensure alignment with other PTC’s discipline among the same Business unit for the day-to-day and long term by integrating multiple solutions for IDS considering multi-year frame.
  • Translate the different IDS Bus/ functions demands and requirements into a consolidated PTC’s business plan and create balanced score card with IDS / PTC performance indicators to measure success to support the achievement of the OQEP’s strategic objectives.

 

IDS Strategy & Governance

 

  • Define governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Approves for Chief PTC final endorsement of the emerging technologies, trends, and market opportunities to inform strategic decision-making and investment priorities.
  • Define OQEP performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of IDS initiatives and ensure continuous improvement.

IT Operation & BIA (Business Impact Analysis):

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including infrastructure management, network administration, and end-user support services.
  • Oversees the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify critical business processes, assess potential risks and vulnerabilities, and develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT systems and services through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and incident response protocols.
  • Ensure a proper collaboration with cross-functional teams, to align IT operations with business requirements and support the organization's strategic objectives.

 

Cybersecurity

  • Oversees the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies, policies, and programs to protect the organization's information assets from cyber threats and attacks.
  • Oversees the risk assessments and vulnerability assessments and ensure to identify security gaps and prioritize remediation efforts.

Digital Transformation

  • Oversees the digital transformation initiatives to modernize business processes, enhance customer experiences, and create new revenue opportunities through digital technologies.
  • Identify digital trends and disruptions that may impact the organization's industry and develop strategies to capitalize on digital opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and agility within the organization, promoting experimentation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

IDS Business Excellence

  • Oversees the efforts to improve IDS efficiency, effectiveness, and quality through process optimization, automation, and performance management..
  • Lead IDS continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities for cost reduction and resource optimization, and implement best-in-class practices.

Skill Pool

  • Guides new teams to adopt Agile, troubleshoots adoption efforts, and guide continuous improvement & provides training on Lean / Agile.

Education requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications for this position are a bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, computer science, Business or Engineering.

Language

Exceptional knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) - Arabic - Native (desirable)

  • 14+ years’ experience with a unique combination of leadership, strategic thinking, technical expertise, business acumen, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities to effectively oversee and integrate all aspects of information and digital services within the organization.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams and complex Project and Program Management experience in a large energy/oil &gas or industrial organisation.
