Job Description

The Talent Management Specialist is responsible for coordinating professional development activities, including working with training providers, conducting needs assessments, Performance Management process, supporting the talent acquisition processes for all employee categories, essential functions will include any of the tasks, knowledge and skills as per below.

The responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for HR initiatives that help to retain, train and develop the employee group; with the objective that the employees will be equipped to perform to their maximum ability and enable us to achieve individual and company goals
  • Deliver full life-cycle recruiting, this includes recruiting, posting, applicant the tracking system, Interviewing, onboarding, etc.
  • Compile HR metrics analyzes trends and makes recommendations for improvements to the talent management system; may participate in various market surveys and manage the data gathering, submission, and analysis.
  • Conducting needs assessments to identify appropriate training needs, developing training content, and facilitating training and development sessions.
  • Support the performance management process across the company & train all levels of employees on the performance evaluation process, including all related or additional tools.
  • Monitor the performance management system and include performance evaluations, performance development plans, and performance improvement plans. 
  • Develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities, regularly monitor and report results with recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
  • Monitors and evaluates trainee's progress and development by implementing an evaluation and proficiency assessment process that is consistent with company appraisal, developmental and feedback standards
  • Providing statistical analysis of HR training data for data-driven decision making and process improvement
  • Help to improve and maintain staff engagement e.g. via staff surveys and follow-up initiatives, and related assignments which contribute to organizational development initiatives. 
  • Demonstrate a passion for a talent mindset and driving performance, an ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks and activities to meet multiple competing deadlines.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Department Management.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR team in meeting the overall HR objectives.                                                

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business
  • 5 years of relevant work experience preferably in the Oil & Gas Sector, covering all the relevant areas - performance management and development; learning and training, career development. Solid understanding of performance management, TMS, competency framework, and development. Experience with staff engagement and retention initiatives
  • Proficient in all of the Microsoft Office package, knowledge of HRMS is a plus.
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential for this position
