The Senior / Gas Plant Operator is responsible for safe, environmentally sound, efficient operation and first line maintenance of process equipment including compressors, pumps, vessels, columns, auxiliary equipment and systems throughout the Gas Processing Facility including and not limited to Safah Gas Processing Plant, Farwest station compressors and Sales gas export pipeline with all corresponding block valve stations.

The Senior / Gas Plant Operator responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Operates all units of the Gas Processing and Crude Stabilization Plant, FW station compressors, 16” gas export pipeline including sales gas delivery point with all associated auxiliary equipment according to design and specification.
• Shuts down and starts up process equipment including compressors, pumps, vessels, columns etc according to operational requirements.
• Prepares process equipment for planned and unplanned shutdowns.
• Conducts various checks of area and equipment including pumps, compressors and vessels operating parameters like levels, temperatures, flow and pressure to make sure they are within their defined operating range.
• Performs trouble shooting of the process equipment and first line maintenance for process optimization.
• Generate maintenance work order requests and assist with priorities to address process and equipment issues.
• Takes daily readings of the plant operating data and files data in the daily KPI’s.
• Maintains a clean and neat work area.
• Ensures compliance with Health, Environment, Safety and Security management policies.
• Be fully conversant with the Emergency response procedures and respond timely and competently to process upsets and emergencies that occur.

• College Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of related experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industry OR General Diploma certificate (Secondary School) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Knowledge and experience in the operation of various types of oil and gas industry equipment, including compressors, pumps, electric motors, heat exchangers, columns, separators compressors and other related equipment.
• Knowledge of basic methods of the various devices used for measurements and methods of liquid and gas measurements.
•       Knowledge of Gas Processing specifically in dehydration, refrigeration and Gas compression is a credit.
•       Must be familiar with the hazards associated with oil and gas operations.
•       Good working knowledge of personal computers, applications and software.
•       Good in communication and interpersonal skills.
