ROLE PURPOSE:

Provides technical expertise pertaining to maintenance electrical Services (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC) Generic, under Team Leader – electrical (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC -  Generic)  Services’ scope, as authorized role to isolate or de-isolate electrical equipment, (on approval); through To perform preventive, corrective and annual maintenance of electrical installations in designed Plants (including process, utility, power generation, workshop, offices, laboratory) while observing safety rules and contributing in the achievement of KPIs, as per Department Business Plan; in order to minimize downtime, cost effective and ensure the reliability, availability of mechanical rotating equipment .

Deliverables:

• Receives assignments or work orders from electrical supervisors and coordinates   activities with other technicians and operators for solving problems on electrical motors and lighting system.
• Install and maintain Electrical installations in Refinery units including process, utility, generation, workshop, offices, Laboratory etc.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs, trouble shooting and performs scheduled preventive maintenance repairs
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters
• Testing and certification of portable electrical tools
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Monitoring of Electrical parameters of Electrical Power systems and installations and analyse them.
• Upgrades existing systems in accordance with revised blueprints, MOCs, work orders and verbal instructions.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications for this position is Diploma in Technology or similar.
• Minimal years of relevant experience is 5 years in a Senior Technician- Electrical role.
• Knowledge of High Voltage and Low Voltage equipment.
• Knowledge about Hazardous Area Classification and the equipment used in such areas.
• Using the testing and measuring instruments.
• Experienced with the troubleshooting of the over-current and under-voltage protection devices, as well as circuit breakers, and different type of fuses.
• Testing of Portable electrical equipment.

Skills:

• Working on PC with experience in Microsoft office, SAP etc.
• Understanding wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Reading and understanding the equipment manuals.
• Guiding the trainees and technicians to understand the electrical equipment.
