Promote a strong safety culture in line with BP Global and BP Oman’s stated safety objectives; aim for no incidents in area of influence
Recognize the HSE impact of all work; communicate as appropriate to possible stakeholders
Participate in the safety input program and at times leading conversations about the business impacts of participation in a safety culture
Ensure / build a deep sub-surface technical understanding of the Khazzan/Ghazeer development area to make value-based recommendations.
Responsible for ISD (Integrated Subsurface Description) maintenance in Block 61 area.
Follow drilling operations on work days and weekends as scheduled
Follow New Well Common Process through all stages for drilling activity on multiple rig lines
Maintain regional NDS database and ensure consistent standards are met
Integrate data from all disciplines to acquire and describe the remaining hydrocarbon habitat
Identify and execute subsurface opportunities for enhancing production via new wells, well side-tracks or well work. Integrate and guide team members with well work opportunities.
Ensure opportunity hopper is robust and hopper generation processes are embedded in the routine way of working
Ensure RD processes are followed and embedded in the business process
Interface with Developments Lead to Provide relevant and timely information for Sultanate of Oman and stakeholders as needed.
Build and maintain good working relationships within the various Reservoir Development Teams, other Functions (GOO, GWO, GPO, Legal, HR) and other stakeholders
Create culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and seeking opportunities to reduce complexity/ improve efficiency
Demonstrate people management skills, with the ability to work and coach in multi-cultural, multidiscipline environment needed to ensure connection with the broad BP user community.
المهارات المطلوبة
Open for Omani nationals only
College MS degree in Geoscience
Strong Industry Track Record, 10 to 15 years’ experience in multiple Reservoir Development roles
Extensive new well planning and well intervention experience (8+ yrs) is desired.
Deep background in Pore Pressure/Frac Gradient prediction and analysis.
Experience with Reservoir Depositional Elements, static reservoir modelling, depletion planning, hopper management, reservoir management and base management support.
Strong Commitment to Safety
Strong understanding and ability to communicate subsurface uncertainty
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all disciplines within RD verbally and in writing
Good data management skills

Demonstrates and leads others in developing a deep technical understanding for the geology of Block 61 in Oman. Consistently can lead the multi-disciplinary Area Team in generating value through representing the geology in a variety of reviews leading to decisions related to the management and development of the reservoir in the area. Maintain and direct work that supports and updates the integrated reservoir description for the area and provide input to the Area Depletion Plan. Deeply understands and influences the economic implications of delivering value through the risk and uncertainty of a subsurface description and can portray this clearly to the team and to management. Plan and execute deep gas wells for multiple rig lines. This includes completing PPFG predictions and acting as a pore pressure detection SPA while drilling. Document subsurface NPT events and understand the root cause. This role reports to the Ghazeer Area Team Leader.
